The Autopay app lets you buy e-vignettes for vehicles of different categories, for the period you choose. This allows you to organise your holiday trip (e.g. to Croatia) with ease and avoid the stress of having to search for traditional vignette sales points at the border or at petrol stations.
How do I buy an e-vignette using Autopay?
Like the other Autopay services, this one is also very simple. Simply download the Autopay app (Download from App Store , Google Play ), set up an account, fill in the vehicle details and connect a payment source (e.g. payment card) - you can then proceed to purchase.
- On the home screen, in the e-vignette section, select the country you are travelling to (click on the relevant flag).
- Select the type of e-vignette (depending on the country, this may be a 1-, 7-, 10- or 30-day e-vignette).
- Please specify the start date and ensure that all the details are correct (once payment has been made, it is not possible to change the details or obtain a refund for the vignette).
- Confirm your payment.
- Once the payment has been processed and the vignette generated, you will receive it by email as a PDF file (the vignette will also be available in your account on the Autopay app).
The system responsible for issuing vignettes takes a little time to generate and send the file, so it is important to pay for the vignette in advance, for example, the day before your planned journey. The whole process usually takes up to 15 minutes, but it is worth allowing a bit of extra time just in case.
It is worth remembering not to drive onto any toll section until you have received your e-vignette by email or seen that it is available in the Autopay app. In some countries, such as Slovakia, there is an electronic monitoring system that checks whether a vehicle has a valid vignette. Special cameras positioned along the roads read out number plates and verify whether the journey has been paid for. If not, the vehicle owner will receive a fine. Therefore, purchasing a vignette for Slovakia is essential if you wish to avoid a fine.
Does the e-vignette need to be printed?
No. The vignette you can buy via Autopay is electronic. This means that, should you be stopped for a check, you can simply show the PDF file on your phone’s screen, and that will be sufficient. Of course, if you’d like to print out the vignette for your own peace of mind, you’re welcome to do so. The printout will be just as valid as the digital file.
How much does an e-vignette cost?
Vignette prices depend on the country and the validity period (the number of days). As prices fluctuate, we will not mention them here as they could become outdated very quickly.
However, up-to-date prices are always available on the Autopay app - simply log in to your account and select the country you are interested in and you will see the current prices for vignettes with a specific expiry date.

The Autopay app is constantly evolving. It currently allows you to conveniently purchase vignettes for Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland and Slovenia, as well as making automatic payments for journeys on almost all toll roads in Poland and for using car washes and car parks.
